Is there anybody in there?
Light was on, door open. It seemed warm and welcoming.
Music is off. Everybody seems to have left. Is the party over ?
I brought my CDs. Gonna try to put some music on

Maybe it'll bring back one or two of you.
Hope so.
Long story short. I'm 45 and new to Geomag (short rods) thanks to the first french lockdown last April.
After being so frustrated by the lack of rods trying to build the Eiffel Tower (who among you has not tried?

I managed to make myself an affordable and sufficient collection on the second-hand market to have a little fun

I've read almost every message and seen every photo on the forum, the Flickr group and the wikia, plus other sites (Rafael's, geomagmasters, ...).
You all guys did an amazing work!
I've learnt a lot copying what you did and following your tutorials. So I think it is important to share and post photos so that others will learn the same way I did with you.
Even if the last message was posted more than a year and a half ago, each time I came here as guest, there were unregistered users online (if it's not google's bot).
I'm pretty sure owners of long rods also come here (thanks to search engines) looking for new territories to explore.
And long rods don't fear the dodecahedron. Isn't it Peter?

So here's my first contribution in response to Tychi's second to last message in 2017.
To cheer you up during this difficult time for everyone, here is my 2020 Christmas tree at different stages of growth

(On the same principle as Peter Jepsen's snakes but not flexible: 3 distinct structures interlaced through a rigid spine).
Let's call it the Interlaced Christmas Tree or ICT

Cheers.
PS: I'll post the howto later in another message
PPS: Peter kindly gave me some homework. I'll tell you about that later
