World first sneak peek for the fans..

Postby Peter Jepsen » Wed May 05, 2010 5:28 pm

Hey Guys and Girls...

It's been a bit quiet here on the forum lately, so I've decided to show you all an exclusive teaser of what's in store for the immediate future..

The below half-page ad was just published in the Spielzeug International magazine (together with a two-page article about Geomagworld SA and an interview with our general manager).

Click for bigger and see if you can spot the new stuff.. (shouldn't be any problem for you hard core Geomag fans here on the forum.. ) Remember where you saw it first! ;)

Hi Peter! Long time no visit -- been beyond busy in recent months. :(

Thanks for the teaser!!

So... NEW PRO COLORS! That's exciting!! Any hints as to when they'll be available? Although my Geomag enthusiasm continues to be primarily expended on classic/pro sets, I have bought two large kids sets, and they're fun for variety, especially when I want something quick at a larger scale. I'll prolly buy a bit more, especially if cool new colors become available....

I see (what I think is) expanded baby stuff and the wheels are new, but I expect they're prolly not so much my thing. ;)

Can you post a link to (or the text from) that "two-page article about Geomagworld SA and an interview with our general manager"? I'd love to read it!

BTW, d'you think there'll ever be kids pentagons for sale?

Hmm.. But.. There aren't any new Pro colours for 2010, Clare..

I guess It's in place to post a photo of the current colours, also Jowidi has asked for this.

I'll have a scan made of the article, it isn't publicly available in electronic form. I'll need a moment for the translation though; it's in German.. :?

Regarding the KIDS pentagons, personally I don't have high hopes of them becoming a reality. It's been up for discussion more than once in the company. The main problem is the necessary size and the fact that because of that large size, a KIDS pentagon would 'pop out' of its frame quite easily if the frame was flexed. A bit like you see with the Pro diamonds when their fixture isn't completely straight.

Could you not put a slightly bigger curve on the edge of the panel (IYSWIM)?

Wheels is an interesting concept though 8-)

I take it they're magnetically held together?

Could make transporting some of the larger models easier if we just stuck wheels on them (thinking of the drops both Karl and myself have had, and countless others no doubt  )

Wheels? Looking more and more like your buddies on Mafia Island everyday Peter!

I have been building a little bit .... salivatingly huge ball - I'm using a TV turntable instead of wheels.
