I call it Teardrop:

Here's a near miss pentagon using the same twisting construct:

My entire collection, geometrized. This was before I started collecting panels.

Nice work Curt 8-)

My entire collection version (scale x3) roughly 4000 rods and over a metre high

Here are a few of my more recent builds:

Pendulum (based on a Dynamic Geomag video by aldoaldoz)

The ticking pendulum, similar to what aldoaldoz posted on YouTube.

Dynamic Geomag Gears reproductions (original by aldoaldoz)

Two versions of the Dynamic Geomag Gears (I had them interacting with each other at one time before I started modifying the colorful version of it), also based on aldoaldoz' work.

One more:

Modified Dynamic Geomag Gears reproductions (based on an original by aldoaldoz)

This one actually survived the trip home when I took it home from the office and is currently sitting in my basement. My 5-year old loves to play with it, and likes to build little Geomag houses that she puts around it.

Inspired by your geometric collection, I present the effort of myself and my 2 kids (5 and 1 year old. The 1 year old helped put balls into place):

Cleaning it up was more fun, and I regret not taking pictures. Over the course of about 12 days: we hollowed out one side to leave only the walls. Then we made a big hole into another wall, leaving just the bottom triangle and one of the walls together with a single column to hold it up.

My daughter then accidentally bumped into the column, resulting in just the bottom and one side remaining standing. All states looked fairly impressive to be honest.

Since this was build a few weeks ago, I have received a couple more silver bars (27), so it's a little out of date but the 27 additional bars wouldn't have made a big impact :).

And here is my collection after I finished putting it all away last night:

I feel so inadequate. :(

At least my thread title was apt. :)
