I don't like the title of the post, but the result is impressive!
When I suggested it, I was expecting that the upper spiral-part had to continue down to rest on the floor to carry itself. I had never imagined that the bottom one would be able to carry it. Congratulations Graham!

Sorry Peter, just a bit of fun :) Feel free to change it :)

I've had a couple of other ideas for this ;)

There's a fair bit of flexibility on where you can start the second spiral.

I'd originally intended to start it exactly half way but after a slight miscalc I'd actually started it a bit earlier.

I'm going to have a bit more of a play with it I think.

Graham: Awesome and elegant.

It's difficult to predict which models will be strong isn't it?
The flowerball is fragile, yet it's a fully enclosed sphere: the spiral
is strong yet it has (relatively) spindly limbs.

We really need Rodrigo Veas back again: I think he's a structural
engineer by trade.

I agree with Peter: a better whimsical name for the thread is
"Triple spiral on steroids" - as thread owner you are permitted to edit the
subject.

[Don't forget Geomag folk get bent out of shape about 'blame' after all,
their business was poisoned by the crap quality of other people's magnets]
